Computer control and power supply
rack for high temperature reverse bias test system for large
power semiconductors
This 19" rack has a Pentium class PC running a Visual Basic
operator interface, (2) 3000 VDC, 1 amp power supplies and power
distribution hardware |

View of test chamber outfitted with
racks and trays to hold devices under test
Components are rated for continuous operation at
175° C
Device placed in this chamber have a bias voltage applied (up to
3000 VDC) and the leakage current is continuously monitored
Teflon insulated wire, polyamide circuit boards and silver solder
used throughout to withstand elevated temperature and high voltages

Chamber is in foreground, load resistor cabinet in
center and computer control rack at far end
After customer acceptance the system is disassembled, trucked to
customer facility and reassembled by Alpha engineers
